About
Raimund Dietz is an economist, author and philosopher of money. His work addresses the question of how economic and social order arise and the constitutive role that exchange and money play in this process.
After holding academic positions at Freie Universität Berlin and Technische Universität Berlin, he worked for many years at the Vienna Institute for International Economic Studies (wiiw). His subsequent career took him, among other places, to South-Eastern and Eastern Europe as a consultant and economic policy expert.
At the heart of his work is the development of economics as a social science. It connects economic theory with sociology and philosophy and places the triadic structure of social relations at the centre.
