1. Controller

2. Hosting, Email and Access Logs
This website runs on its own server provided by Hostinger International Ltd., 61 Lordou Vironos Street, 6023 Larnaca, Cyprus; the server is located in a data centre in Vilnius, Lithuania (EU). For each request the server logs technical access data: time, page requested, referring page and browser used. Your IP address is shortened before it is stored (last part removed), so it cannot be traced back to you. The log is deleted after 14 days; all that remains is a count of page views per day, without personal data. The legal basis is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in the secure and error-free operation of the website).

Emails to kontakt@raimunddietz.com and the emails this website sends (such as replies to the contact form or confirmation links for the forum) are delivered via our email provider Hostinger International Ltd., 61 Lordou Vironos Street, 6023 Larnaca, Cyprus.

3. Cookies
No cookies are set when you read this website. Your usage behaviour is not evaluated for tracking, analytics or advertising purposes.

Only if you sign in to the forum (see section 7) does your browser store a technically necessary cookie called ‘rdforum’. It contains a random identifier that marks you as signed in, and nothing else. It is valid for 180 days and is deleted when you sign out. The legal basis is Article 6(1)(b) GDPR (providing the forum you use) in conjunction with Section 165(3) of the Austrian Telecommunications Act 2021.

4. Embedded Fonts
This website uses the ‘Inter’ and ‘Source Serif’ typefaces for consistent presentation. The font files are hosted locally on our own server. No connection is made to Google servers, and no data is transmitted to Google.

5. Contact Form
If you use the contact form, we process the data you enter voluntarily (name, email address and message) solely for the purpose of handling your enquiry. The legal basis is Article 6(1)(b) GDPR (processing an enquiry) or Article 6(1)(a) GDPR (consent via the relevant checkbox).

Your data will be deleted as soon as it is no longer required to process your enquiry, unless statutory retention obligations apply. Your data will not be disclosed to third parties for advertising purposes. Your message is stored on our own server and delivered by email via our email provider (see section 2); it is not passed on to any other third party.

6. Purchase of papers and payment processing
When you buy a paper, the payment is handled by Stripe Payments Europe, Limited, 1 Grand Canal Street Lower, Dublin 2, Ireland. You enter your payment details directly with Stripe; they never reach this website. Stripe passes on to us your e-mail address together with the title purchased, the amount and the time of payment. We store this in order to send you the download link and to meet statutory retention obligations (seven years under Austrian tax law). The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (performance of the contract) and Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR (legal retention). Stripe also processes data in the United States on the basis of the European Commission's standard contractual clauses. Stripe's privacy policy: stripe.com/at/privacy.

7. Forum (Exchange of Views)
You can take part in the forum by registering with your first name, last name and email address. We store these details, the times of registration and confirmation, and your posts on our own server. Your name is shown publicly with your posts; your email address is not. There is no password: you sign in via a link we send you by email, valid for 48 hours.

If you do not confirm your address within seven days, we delete the registration completely. The operator of the forum is notified by email of every new post (including the author’s name and email address) so that inappropriate posts can be hidden. The addresses of confirmed members are also stored in a ‘Forum members’ list with our service provider Brevo (see section 8); no newsletter is sent to this list.

The legal basis is Article 6(1)(b) GDPR (use of the forum) and your consent to the display of your name (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR). You can remove your name and email address at any time yourself via ‘Delete account’ in the forum; posts already published then remain without your name as ‘deleted member’ so that discussions stay readable. If you would like these posts removed as well, simply send us a message at the address above.

8. Newsletter and Email Service Provider Brevo
You receive the newsletter only if you explicitly requested it when registering for the forum and confirmed it via the link in the confirmation email (double opt-in). We store the time of your consent. The legal basis is your consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR); you can withdraw it at any time via the unsubscribe link at the end of every newsletter or by sending us a message.

We use Brevo (Sendinblue SAS, 106 boulevard Haussmann, 75008 Paris, France) to send it. Brevo stores your email address and name. Brevo records whether and when a newsletter was opened and which links in it were clicked; we only see totals per issue. We have concluded a data processing agreement with Brevo under Article 28 GDPR. Brevo’s privacy policy: brevo.com/legal/privacypolicy.

9. Your Rights
You have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection in relation to your personal data. You may withdraw any consent you have given at any time with effect for the future. To exercise these rights, please contact the address given above.
